Why Do We Have an Application Process?

We are committed to ensuring that your health concerns align with my area of expertise and the type of care I can provide.

Additionally, we believe in being transparent about the details of our practice, so you feel informed, comfortable, and confident in moving forward with your care.

As a certified Menopause Society Practitioner (MSCP), I support patients through the menopause transition, as well as addressing other women’s health concerns such as menstrual cycle issues, PCOS, PMDD, and hormonal health.

If your health concerns fall outside these areas, we will do our best to guide you toward another practitioner or resource better suited to your specific needs.

How the Application Process Works:

  1. Submit Your Application: Complete the form below to apply to become a new patient.
  2. We'll Be in Touch!: If approved, our Office Manager, Lisa, will contact you within 5 business days by phone to schedule your initial consultation. Initial visits for Dr. Kara are currently booked approximately 2–3 months out.
  3. Alternative Referrals: If your health concerns fall outside our scope, we may recommend another practitioner better suited to your needs.

Hormone Therapy Information

Naturopathic Doctors in Ontario have some, but limited, prescribing rights. If hormone therapy is desired and indicated, prescriptions can be accessed in the following ways:
