Dr. Kara Dionisio, ND, is a certified Menopause Society Practitioner (MSCP) specializing in supporting patients through the menopause transition. She also addresses other women's health concerns, including PCOS, PMDD, and Endometriosis.

Why Do We Have an Application Process?

We are committed to ensuring you receive the best possible care, starting with confirming that your health concerns align with Dr. Kara's expertise. This ensures she is well-equipped to help you.

Application Process:

Submit Your Application: Complete the form provided below to apply for a consultation.
Review and Decision: Dr. Kara will personally review your application to ensure that her clinical skills and expertise align with your health needs.
Notification: If your application is approved, you will receive a phone and/or email notification within 5 business days from Lisa our Office Manager. At which time, you can work together to schedule your initial visit, and reserve your first follow-up visit.
Alternative Referrals: If your health concerns fall outside Dr. Kara’s areas of specialization, we may guide you to a Naturopathic Doctor better suited to your specific needs.

Wait Times for Initial Visit:

The current wait time for an initial appointment with Dr. Kara Dionisio, ND, averages 2-4 months.

Please Note: Prescriptions for hormone therapy, if indicated, can be done either by a) collaboration with your MD, OR our Naturopathic Doctors can co-prescribe in conjunction with a Nurse Practitioner who works collaboratively with us. INVESTMENT

Consultations with a Naturopathic Doctor are not covered by OHIP; however, many private health benefit plans may fully or partially cover these sessions. The frequency and duration of your visits will be tailored to the depth and complexity of your specific health needs and goals, and determined by you and your ND at each visit.

We are committed to providing exceptional care and ensuring our services reflect the most current practices and standards.

Below you will find the updated fee schedule, effective from June 1, 2024, for Dr. Kara Dionisio, ND:

Initial Consultation (60 minutes): $375
Second Appointment (45 minutes): $275
- Pre-scheduled 4 weeks after the initial appointment to ensure follow-up time is reserved for you. This visit may not be necessary or may be moved further out, which you and Dr. Kara will discuss at your initial visit.
Standard Follow-up Appointment (30 minutes): $185
Shorter Acute Appointments (10-15 minutes): Available as needed

These fees include Dr. Kara's time outside of appointments to send you your visit summary and treatment plan, review your lab testing and reports, and write letters to your medical team when needed.

Cancellation Policy

We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. More details about this will be available to you upon booking your initial visit.

Laboratory Testing

Laboratory tests may be necessary to accurately assess your health. If you have recent lab results from your MD/NP, less or no additional testing may be required.

Tests ordered by a Naturopathic Doctor are not covered by OHIP but may or may not be covered by your health benefits plan.
Prices are determined by Life Labs, and payment is processed through our clinic using the credit card on file upon receipt of results.
The cost for initial lab testing typically ranges from $75 to $200, depending on the medical necessity, comprehensiveness of your recent tests etc.
