1) Company Name

BC Company names must have three parts - a distinctive element, a descriptive element, and a corporate designator.

Please provide three name choices that include all of these elements. Alternatively, if you do not wish to choose a name, your company can be incorporated as a "numbered company" (it's name will be its incorporation number followed by "B.C. Ltd.")

Examples:
Topanga's Treats Inc.
Phinn's Fashion Corp.
ABC Holdings Ltd.

Why have a Law Firm as the Corporate Address for your Company?

  • We manage any communications with the Corporate Registry on your behalf. Often times directors and officers are too busy or under-resourced to see to filing on time and properly.
  • We ensure that annual filing deadlines are met and that annual filings are handled properly.
  • If the registered address is a home or small office, and there are multiple shareholders, then the shareholders must come to the person’s home or office for the minute books if needed. This can be problematic if there are multiple shareholders.
  • A business might be perceived as small if a home address or small office is provided versus a corporate address.
  • Using our office as the registered office of the company can help keep your business address private if that’s desired. Some offices are not public facing and do not want to attract unannounced visitors.
  • If your office is located in a managed office like a WeWork you will not have to worry about filing a notice of change of address if you move to a new office building or office within your existing managed office solution.
  • We also ensure that that corporate records are maintained in good order and are current.

Effective October 1, 2020, all BC companies are required to keep and maintain a transparency register listing all significant individuals of the company (registered or beneficial owners of 25% or more of the company's shares).
