Why is there an application fee? STAT is a charity funded by grants and donations. Grants don't often allow for care-taking costs of horses and providing food and water for humans. Those fees are put towards programming, helping take care of the horses' basic and medical-dental-supplement-farrier needs, providing water and snacks for participants, and supplies for activities for humans and horses. There is an abundance of cost that goes into providing quality equine therapy services. We try to cut every cost possible without ever sacrificing the the quality of care for you and our horses. STAT has dedicated staff who also volunteer their time at no cost to give back to the community. We can't do it without you.
