Please note: We do not offer a regular 9-5 schedule internship. Your schedule will be set according to your availability and our need. If you do not provide enough availability for your required hours, we will be unable to offer you an internship. Please consider your availability carefully.

What prompted you to apply for our internship?

What do you want to do with your degree when you graduate? Do you have a specialization or focus that you see yourself in based on an area of study or work that you love (substance abuse counseling, adults, children, school counseling, leadership, eating disorders, etc.)

If accepted as an intern with our program, you are expected to continue your internship until the end of your term even if your hours are completed prior to the end of the term. In addition, direct service hours will continue even when there is a break in your term or between terms (this includes holidays such as winter break). Non-direct hours are not expected when there is a break during your term. Are you agreeable with this?

Our internship is 100% remote. This means you need to plan the hours your internship requires each week into your schedule. Have you ever had a job, classes or volunteer work that was remote? If so, how did you manage to keep up with your responsibilities in a timely manner? If this is the first remote placement, what would you do to make sure you complete your hours and make the time necessary to complete your hours?

Our internships are supervised by a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Indiana & Florida and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in South Carolina & Texas. Will your university accept this level of supervision for your internship if this is for class credit?

If you are a BSW/MSW intern applicant, we have limited internal supervision spots with our MSW. Is your school willing to provide external supervision with an MSW for you? If you do not know, you will need to determine this if our supervision spots are taken internally, and they generally are.
