  1. Learn about pain and what you can do to help yourself
  2. Gain pain relief skills you can use right away
  3. Receive a free binaural relaxation audiofile
  4. Create a personal plan for pain relief
  5. Bring a friend or family member with you!

The Empowered Relief™ class was developed by pain psychologist colleague and researcher, Dr. Beth Darnall at Stanford University. Read the latest Natl Institutes of Health press release about the August 2021 study published showing the benefits of this one-session skills-based class for pain management.

Dr. Darnall is a member of the CDC Opioid Workgroup and has published a number of books and important treatment tools.

Your instructor's experience includes over 10 years of providing cognitive behavioral psychotherapy for chronic pain in primary care, mental health, and substance use treatment settings, partnering with the American Chronic Pain Association and Veterans, and working alongside interdisciplinary physicians and providers in palliative and hospice care.

Please note, this is an education, one-session, skills-based class that does not involve establishment of treatment. The format is a lecture-based webinar delivered virtually through Zoom to participants.
